Which one of these riches will you choose? You can only choose one.
Both of these options seem very tempting.
But if everything you touch become gold, that's very unfortunate if you are an affectionate person. If you touch a person, they will become gold too, so you will never be able to interact with them again. They will cease to exist and become a golden statue.
And if you can have one million dollars each year, that's nice too. But you can't keep it for yourself. You have to donate it to a good cause. So what will you choose? Both are ever-lasting riches that come with consequences and down-sides.
You can of course invent your own loopholes to both dilemma's to circumvent the problem and mention them in the comments!

I have a very loving family. If I have to have the King Midas curse, I don't know if I can live with the idea that one touch can turn my family into gold. Especially if all the money does go to a good cause. It does not say which goal, or always the same. Helping a good cause every year doesn't sound so wrong at all.

The person who gives everything of himself has more than the one who is only responsible for saving, accumulating and receiving

Family is the most valuable thing you have, I think. That was quite a difficult question to answer, though.

What's the point of touching everything and turning it into gold if you can't give or receive a simple hug, so I prefer the second one.

It doesn't matter if I don't keep the money, as long as other people can enjoy it, there's more pleasure in giving than receiving.

I take risks and hope that the sacrifice will pay off, poverty would be eliminated with this desire, but it has its counterpart.

If it were for me, it would spread happiness all over the world, there are real people who need it urgently, that would be my wish.

We have to be more generous so we don't sin of greed like Midas did in his story it's better to give

I wish that could be done to help people who need it a lot, especially at Christmas time.

I don't like the idea of donating everything, because we have to keep something for ourselves, otherwise what are we going to live on?

Turning everything into gold, that idea pleases me, I would just be very careful not to touch my loved ones without special gloves.

If everything we touch turns to gold we would starve to death remember King Midas it was a curse for him

The fact that I can give smiles to those who really need it is the biggest payment for everything in this life.

I remember reading a mythological story about a king who asked for that power to touch and everything will turn into gold and it didn't end very well

I'm not interested in gold. Then you have to drag it around to trade it and my back won't allow that. Just give me the wild benefactor feeling !

Personally, I think I would reject both options as they are... but since you can admit loopholes, then the midas touch could be it. The exception would be any living thing, any food, or any clothes, would not turn into gold... you could kill your loved ones, kill yourself, family or pets, and you could also never eat or drink or wear any clothes... So that's my exceptions there... 😁

Hello, it's a difficult answer to take, but it's better to help others, you receive money and help would be my decision.

Gold will increase in value in the future anyway, I can also donate that, huh? . Can you do much more than that million per year?

Not a difficult choice. When everything I touch becomes gold, I no longer interact, and gold becomes less special. I'm giving away with love. I get a good feeling, because I'm helping someone, in the end, that's more valuable than gold.

Haha, just what I thought. Everyone chooses the second option. Both are impossible, but at least the second makes you seem sympathetic.

Easy choice, number two: giving money away to charities. I have plenty of them that I'm already active for.

Immediately the second! I don't have to think about someone turning into a golden statue and that you can never contact them again and that it no longer exists. The second one suits me. Not by millions, because I don't own them, but I'm happy to support where I can. Who does well, meets well.
