A very nice activity I would like to share with you here. It's about the plant: #Fluitenkruid . (Whistle) I already knew the plant and was actually always curious why it was called so.. Making a flute that you can get sound out of... how fun is that?

In the host parent care of Ineke van Der Linde, children of different ages come to care for. The BSO is the time after school when the children are taken care of at Ineke. With this group of children Ineke went into nature close to home. She started working with this on the basis of a nice link from the Dutch Bird Protection. This link contains some information about this plant and how to make a whistle. They invented the pan flute themselves.

Here you will find the link: Whistle Making Whistle

Ineke tells:The above link immediately appealed to me. Making whistles from flutewort. It is a fast-growing plant, which is very common along the ditch and in the roadside. The stem is hard and hollow. At the end of May is an appropriate time to start working with this plant. The nice thing about this link is that it contains an explanation of how you can test which whistle works best in different ways.

Leuk en interessant. Het tegengif voor de brandnetel (mierenzuur) kun je trouwens uit de plant zelf halen, namelijk de stengel (kalk).
@Naturefreak He wat een leuke tip.. dat wist ik niet!
Gedeeld!
