Why do we tend to pace when talking on the phone?
Why, oh why, do we morph into amateur marathon runners the moment we pick up the phone? It's like our legs suddenly decide they're auditioning for a dance-off while our mouths are on a mission to chat. Perhaps it's our way of convincing ourselves we're multi-tasking geniuses, getting in our daily steps and our daily gossip all at once. Or maybe it's just our body's hilarious attempt to burn off the calories from that snack we're secretly munching on while pretending to listen intently. Either way, if you ever need to find us, just follow the trail of pacing feet—it's our own peculiar form of GPS.
