Yes, the mosquitoes also have their own day! And every year on August 20th. Why is that anyway?

Not that we honor the mosquito on this day, but on this day there is attention to the problems that the mosquitoes can cause. That we can treat the diseases better, and that we can better protect people from the mosquito. Research is important, and we should not forget that people are still dying from a shot of the (Malaria) mosquito. That is why we must support these studies so that no one in the world can die from a mosquito bite anymore.
In the Netherlands, the most famous mosquito is the stinging mosquito, they also call it the spike mosquito. There's no one who doesn't know that creature or saw him fly. Unfortunately, she (the female mosquito) is good at it! But let's not talk about that. We all know how annoying mosquitoes and mosquito bumps can be...
