Yoors Flower Parade, day 14
Today in the Yoors Flower Parade a flower that always reminds me of my childhood.
When I cycled to the outdoor swimming pool as a child, I always saw roadsides full of cornflowers.
I was already completely in love with the beautiful blue, and regularly picked forests for my mother, who put them enthusiastically on the vase.
The official name is Centauria Cyanus.
It's an annual plant.
It strikes me that you see much less cornflowers these days, I find that very sorry.
Wikipedia even tells me they're on the red list. That scares me!!
The flower from my youth really should not disappear!

echt zo jammer dat ze amper nog te zien zijn. In mijn jeugd zag ik ze veel. Ik jubelde gelijk bij deze prachtige foto's.

Ik vind ze altijd zo mooi in combinatie met klaprozen.

Prachtig he? Ze staan in het 'wapen' van het dorp waar ik officieel woon, Blaricum. Ik heb ze ook in mijn bloementeil. In combinatie met klaprozen vind ik ze prachtig.
