Today in the flower parade: the Blue Winde.
Winde's don't have a good name, because you often proliferate, before you know it your whole garden is full of it.
However, this wind does not do that at all!

The Ipomoea purpurea, as the Sunday name of this plant is, is an annual climber.
You sow the plant in spring (mid-April to mid-May) and grow the small plants indoors.
When they are large enough you can plant them after the Ice Heiligen (mid-May), so if it does not freeze at night, in the open ground in a sunny spot.

The blue winds bloom from early morning to noon. After flowering, the flowers fold densely, forming a snot, which will fall off by itself.
Where the flowers have been, a beautiful round seed box forms.
If the seed box has dried brown, you can collect the seeds.
If you sow this one the year, you'll have a new Blue Winde.
If you don't do this, you'll lose the plant. It does not come back by itself, so it does not overgrow your garden.

The wind is easily 2 meters high, and likes it when it has something to climb (with us an apple tree).
