What started as the Yoors Flower 10-day goes on as the flower parade!
Today the flower of my father's favorite tree.

The handkerchief tree, or pennanttree.
I saw this tree for the first time in the arboretum in Wageningen, my father was so excited that I put the pennants he picked in my flower press.
Months later, I put it in a photo frame and gave it to him, on the occasion of taking over the gardener's business where he worked all his life.

The pennants have always hung in his office.
In my parents' garden came a pron tree, and when it flourished last year, I took this picture.
When it blows the white leaves go back and forth, it looks like there are handkerchiefs hanging in the tree, hence the name. #flowerparade #vaantjesboom #zakdoekjesboom
