Today in the Flowerparade: Lead herb, or with an expensive name: Ceratostigma plumbaginoides.
This creeping plant grows 25-35 centimeters high, and makes beautiful blue flowers.
The plant is sometimes confused with “male faithful” when the flowers are small.

Of course I now also want to photograph male faithful, and many more flowers with crazy names!
Unfortunately, there was no male fidelity in my father's garden, where I did take the other picture.
Lead wort is known for its discolored leaf tops, which are worn in autumn, also in summer.

It is an enthusiastic plant: it can grow considerably in the garden.
Originally the plant comes from East Asia.
