Mr Garcia asked me to put a disclaimer : He is in the advertising biz.

This is the comment. I really like this constructive and intelligent feedbacks !
I will comment with - Hnkjn:

I'm very new here, but from what I can tell monetizing content on Yoors isn't as easy as it can seem at first. There's loads of very neat ideas and the platform itself does its best to put them up front and center. Plus the behavioral economics behind the token/boosters/promotion system is smart and is well implemented (although if I may be a little critical, it could use a little work).

Hnkjn: Thanks . We have behavorial economics as a starting point and try not to manipulate in any way ! The FIRST priority is for our members to earn with their content. Engagement . Appreciation ($). Reach. (EAR)

All and all I must agree with @Madeleine, as a platform Yoors cannot compete with Youtube or even Facebook as they're just completely different beasts. But the integration of algorithms (at the cost of privacy), has its fair share of upsides on those other platforms. So the best thing Yoors as going for it is in fact the strong sense of community (albeit one thats "forced" by the way that one can become monetized, having to have a certain amount of followers, giving hearts, etc.). Yoors greatest strength lies on the fact that we're all pushing one another forward.

Hnkjn: We all love @Madeleine xx We follow our own track and not the tracks which are already there. That's difficult somtimes but we take our time. We have no external investors, i am financing this myself so no hurries. Quality and earning for members first. But we are not a non profit so searching and working on the 'new' businessmodels.

Yoors is, in a way, the anti-instagram/facebook by the way that we as a whole push each other to do more, post more, be better, talk more (this one is very important) and overall interact more with one another.

Now, having said all this, I still have my doubts about the monetization system and its inner workings. It seems to me that the developers were smart to postpone the paid tiers for another time, as the amount of hearts (or cents if you want) would not (in my personal opinion ) top the asking fee, hence it would not be a very good deal. But there's potential. Lots of it in fact.

Can you make a living just posting on Yoors? No. Not right now. Not with the monetization system as is.

Hnkjn: Our aim is to organise this for every member who wants te work for it. : Post - Promote - Profit. At this moment we are experimenting with Promote and Fairshare. You can promote your peers and earn half of the profits. Which will be bigger in a few weeks. Then we are introducing : Badges your peers can buy for you - Support button on you profile. Better narrative for Promote and Fairshare - And a better narrative for Premium Posts. (People make a living with these) So keep following our work and keep giving this sort of feedback. Yoors is a human to human company and we try to listen to every (constructive) voice.

Can you make some pocket change by posting on Yoors? Although I don't have the data (so I'm speaking "out of my ass", as they say - sorry @Henkjan de Krijger  and Babita if I'm getting this all wrong), I still think the answer is no. There are just too many hoops to jump through, and even with the pool system is not enough, smart as it is.

The cream always rises to the top, be it here or on any other platform. But, as it stands, the system is made in a way that will not reward users monetarily. Not enough to cover expenses. Not right now. If you want to get notice Yoors is made in a way that pushes you to use your Ys more and more, so, in a way, you're always giving away your earnings to others. And that has an inner beauty in it. But an income it is not. Not by a longshot.

Hnkjn: This will be changed to : All competing members donate to the pool . You can win the whole pool if your post wins. Voters can be voting but must donate to the pool for their vote. Voters can win twice their donation. (I really like this behavioral economics :) (Read "Radical Markets")

Now, having said all that...
... Can you feel better by posting on Yoors? Most definitely yes.

... Can you get a sense of reward by being part of a community that pushes you forward in your endeavours? Yes.

... Can your mental health get a little better by posting on Yoors instead of on Facebook or Instagram? Maybe. As it stands, I think so.

Hnkjn: Thanks for this comment. Keep them coming. We ( @Babita de Boer ) are iterating a lot of tools to get this income if you are willing to make the content and we are developing a tool where advertisers can send a post to a laser focused target group and get guaranteed feedback . Based on the feedback you can focus again so only the buyer will be left. Like to see your comments on that :)
