Holidays; a break from routine
Routine; I have such a love hate relationship with it. I find routine so boring, yet I know that when raising children routine is so necessary.
But for me this is what holidays mean.
A break from routine.
Being able to go to bed later in the evening (for the kids) and wake up later in the morning (for Mom).
It means goofing around at bed time.
Sunset picnics.
Meals swopped around, sometimes breakfast for dinner and pudding for lunch.
It's means having the time to build that lego, build that puzzle, paint the canvas you haven't had time for.
It means lazy pajama days and binge watching a favourite show or reading a good book.
Because, sometimes a holiday isn't a destination. Sometimes the best holiday is the one where you take a break from your daily routine and turn that routine completely on its head.

That's right! Really funny the topsy-turvy part: breakfast for dinner and pudding for lunch. And the laziness...smells holidays 😃
