Strolling through Trujillo.

#yoorsworldtrip2021 Years ago, when my children were athletes in the discipline of jumping, adorn them, we traveled a lot to attend their competitions throughout the country.One of those opportunities we went to Trujillo, which is one of the States of Venezuela, it has an average altitude of 520m. snmpor what is a very cool to cold climate, there we rest a few days after the stress of the competition and as always we dedicate ourselves to touring the place.
We went to see the Monument to the Virgin of Peace, which is located 11 kilometers southwest of the city of Trujillo, it is a specific monument of 46, 72, meter high and 16 meters wide, located 1600 meters above sea ​​level, which gives wonderful views from inside, it was very cold, but it was worth visiting.
We returned to the hotel to change and continue our march towards the central square of Trujillo, the Plaza Bolívar, as in each of the states of Venezuela, in its surroundings we could find wonders to see, like this javelin car of my husband's favorite with which A photo was taken, we had delicious hairy buns for breakfast and we went to a magnificent museum, the House of the Proclamation of the Decree to Death, this 18th century house initially belonged to Jacobo Antonio Roth, a Caracas merchant, this house became the epicenter of the independence feat, here Bolívar signed the decree of war to the death in 1813, an important event in our history, our liberator stayed in this house on several occasions, today a museum that houses the colonial style of the time, it was wonderful to visit its rooms .
From there we went to the Guaramacal National Park where the Laguna de los Cedros is located, it was raining and it was difficult for us, because of the cold to stay in the place for a long time, but it is a very beautiful place, a little frustrated by the rain we returned to the center and entered In the cathedral, which is in front of Plaza Bolívar, from there you can have wonderful views.
A little tired, we sat down to rest on a bench in the square and enjoy the place reading the press and with the pleasant weather, Angelito my youngest son dedicated himself to playing with squirrels, pigeons and even a sloth that was there.
When we started back home we passed through Motatan where there are some hot springs 20 minutes from Valera, very healthy waters rich in sulfur, they were really hot and I even got dizzy from their mineral content, but they say they are very healthy .
We continued walking the road but we stopped again to buy some souvenir crafts to take home, well we have already reached the bridge over Lake Maracaibo that welcomes us to the state of Zulia and to our home

Años atrás cuando mis hijos eran atletas de la disciplina de Saltos ornaméntelas, viajábamos mucho para asistir a sus competencias por todo el país en una de esas oportunidades fuimos a Trujillo , que es uno de los Estados de Venezuela, tiene una altitud media de 520m.s.n.m.por lo que es un clima muy fresco a frio, allí descansamos unos días después del estrés de la competencia y como siempre nos dedicamos a recorrer el lugar.
Fuimos a conocer el Monumento a La Virgen de la Paz, que se encuentra a 11 kilómetros al suroeste de la ciudad de Trujillo, es un monumento en concreto de 46, 72,metro de altura y  16 metros de ancho, ubicado  a 1600 metros sobre el nivel del mar, lo cual da unas vistas maravillosas desde su interior, hacia mucho frio, pero valió la pena visitarlo.
Regresamos al hotel para cambiarnos y seguir nuestra marcha hacia la plaza central de Trujillo, la Plaza Bolívar, como en cada uno de los estados de Venezuela, en sus alrededores pudimos encontrar maravillas por ver, como este javelin carro preferido de mi esposo con el que se tomo una foto, desayunamos ricos bollitos pelones y nos fuimos a un magnifico museo, la Casa de la Proclama del Decreto a Muerte, esta casa del siglo XVIII perteneció inicialmente a Jacobo Antonio Roth, comerciante caraqueño, esta casa se convirtió en el epicentro de la gesta independentista, aquí Bolívar firmo el decreto de guerra a muerte en 1813, evento importante en nuestra historia, nuestro libertador se hospedo en esta casa en varias oportunidades, hoy un museo que alberga el estilo colonial de la época, fue maravilloso recorrer sus habitaciones.
De allí partimos al Parque Nacional Guaramacal donde se encuentra la Laguna de los Cedros, llovía y nos fue difícil, por el frio permanecer mucho tiempo en el lugar, pero es un lugar muy hermoso, un poco frustrados por la lluvia regresamos al centro y entramos en la catedral, que esta frente a la plaza Bolívar de allí puedes tener maravillosa vistas.
Algo cansados nos sentamos a descansar en una banca de la plaza y disfrutar del lugar leyendo la prensa y con el clima tan agradable, Angelito mi hijo menor se dedico a jugar con las ardillas, palomas y hasta un perezoso que estaba por allí.
Cuando emprendimos el regreso a casa pasamos por Motatan donde hay unas aguas termales a 20 minutos de Valera, aguas ricas en azufre muy saludables, en verdad estaban calientes y yo hasta me maree por el contenido mineral de las mismas, pero dicen que son muy saludables.
Seguimos recorriendo el camino pero volvimos a parar para comprar algo de artesanía de recuerdo para llevar a casa, bueno ya llegamos al puente sobre el lago de Maracaibo que nos da la bienvenida al estado Zulia y a nuestro hogar
