Summer is coming and many are looking for some extra movement.
Sometimes you can get extra exercise by very small adjustments in your daily routine.
You can start taking on new habits at home, at work or in your spare time to get in motion.
You are not supposed to apply all the tips, because not all tips will be feasible for you!
Take out for yourself those things that you can or want to do easily, or less easily. Plenty of choice!

AT HOME

During the daily chores, a lot of extra movement moments have been added.

  1. Make detour in the house, do not take the shortest route to e.g. the toilet, the bathroom, kitchen,...
  2. Walk around the dining or kitchen table.
  3. When you go up, first comes back down once or several times and then back up again.
    Or, you can Going backwards up the stairs
    If you do not have a staircase, in between do a few Squats .
  4. Walk the other way around, yes backwards.
  5. An additional vacuum cleaner or cleaning also provides extra movement. It quickly provides a consumption of 180 - 200 kcal /h
  6. Mow the grass.
  7. Walk around your house during a phone call.
  8. Buy a pedometer - Yes. Can motivate you to take extra steps.
  9. Walk to the cellar or pantry yourself instead of turning on the children.
  10. Also while watching TV you can move, step on location, Squats ,...
  11. Is the WII in the back of the closet, aren't the kids playing with it anymore? Get it out again because with the wii sports, wii fit plus, wii resorts (these were often included in a package when purchasing the device), buy the wii just dance,...
  12. Is a fitness subscription too expensive for you? then you can buy quite cheap weights or other helpers in eg Decatlon, aldi and lidl often have offers.
  13. Via you tube (or other internet channels) you can easily find aerobics, zumba, fat burning,... videos.
  14. A 7 minute workout is a very handy app that helps you do Squats, push-ups, jumping jacks,...
