Swingmeans waving, swinging, rocking, balancing, rocking and swinging, although the English translation sounds much more catchy. Read along: Swingmeans swing, swing, swing, balance, swing and swing.
This sculpture comes from his exhibition Adrift where he refers to the balance between man and nature. He does so by developing a new a-historical, global and inclusive new art form. He balances between his Afro-Cuban background, which he mixes with European Gothic. Grey has been living and working in Ghent, Belgium since 1990.

Very cool! You know, there are two shoes swinging just like that from a cable on a public street close to where my mom lives. Don't know who put them there but it's cool to spot random works of art like that 🙂
@Adriana That is a worldwide phenomenon. I have also encountered it. There are several explanations for why people do that and it also seems to depend a bit on where it happens what the meaning is. I don't think some reasons are that cool. But there are also... Show more
