No it isn't! I think it takes brave, persistent and committed parents and similar children to pull it off. All my respect to you 🙂

@Adriana Thank you! It took some adapting at first, but we found our rhythm and just got on with it.

It was so difficult and parents had to work hand in hand with the teachers to get the children through this academic year. From April until July my 16 year old had to work at home, via google classroom and whatsapp and zoom calls. Then she went back to school full time.
My 11 year old was at home doing the same from April until August, then she went to school only every second day and honestly it's so stressful that way. The teacher had limited time to teach them in the classroom and we has parents had to fill in all the gaps where our children needed help. Not all parents were able to due to work, others simply felt it was the teachers problem not theirs, which caused a lot of stress for the teachers which was really unfair. But I won't lie, I am always a very hands on parent, so I am use to helping where it's needed, but this year I am really tired. Helping with homework and teaching a lesson are two very different things.

But we got through it in the end. I absolutely agree, kids need to be in the classroom, they need their teachers.

Show more@enigma Yes it's a sad situation, but daughter said her teachers where trying their best to make things fun but school wasn't the same, breaktimes they had a little square to sit on, lunch was eaten at their desks in class, she is an active girl, she really missed the full experience. Her main teacher did a lovely thing for them, he got plants for every window sill in the classroom and brought 2 chameleons and well as a fish tank to class to liven the atmosphere up a bit. The children where so happy some burst into tears. Let's hope next year is school as we all know it. ❤
