23-09-2021... Painting Plastic Plant Pot with Acrylic Paint
Now I had bought plastic jars from the quantum a year or two ago. Glorious colours, especially the beige/gray-like. But I needed big pots and they generally cost a lot of money. But with 1+1 free, it quickly became interesting. And so I emptied the Quantum 😊
Very large I needed for the lavender, a thousand clean and the butterfly bush. And the smaller ones for the annual flowers.
These were the original colors:
The white and terracotta colour still goes, but I didn't really like it anyway. Dussssss.
Now I have blue pitchers in the garden and that's pretty jolig. So all pots blue. So to speak, so not done. Because the colours had to be mixed. That was another thing, but in the end after hours of dabbling and, above all, a lot of paint waste I had the right tone. I used acrylic paints very simple. That's fine if it gets the chance to dry. A number of those who were dry well overcame a sudden rising rain shower. Didn't like the paint. In the end it was a funny result, but they had to be overpainted. I left the edges for what it was and this is the effect, which I pimped up with dots:
Actually, acrylic paints and plastic don't really go together very well, because if you get your nail over it, the paint is off. But because plant pots lead a still life, I don't expect any damage in the short term. By the way without varnish, it's kind of a chance less 😉
For the shine effect and protection that you don't see a blow in the picture, I sprayed clear paint from the Action.
But I wasn't done. I also had weathered plastic jars that were still doing a great job, but had become very ugly. Now I figured purple was fun. And so the blue discolored pots of yesteryear became purple.

Couldn't the pots dry somewhere under a roof?
