An insight into my little paradise, part 3: early summer
Barely 3 weeks ago, I posted the late spring photos from my garden. It's incredible what a few tender rain showers have conjured up. As if the summer bloomers and the butterflies have been waiting for a sign that they can go against it. A few days ago, these were still promising buttons.
A day later, there were timid attempts to flourish.
Meanwhile, colour is slowly coming into the Echinacea, in Dutch called 'sun hat'. A real bee and butterfly locker!
Another summer flowering plant, the allium or “ornamental onion”, has changed very much in a short time.
This is also a treat for the bees!
