Bruce Springsteen sells his masters and publishes catalog to Sony for $500 million. Includes over 300 songs, 20 studio albums and 23 live LPs.

Bob Dylan sells full publishing catalog to Universal Music. Deal includes 600 songs, including Blowin' in the Wind and Knockin' on Heaven's Door.

Paul Simon's song catalog sold for around $250 million last month , according to sources familiar with the transaction, making it one of the biggest music publishers of the past two years.

Neil Young and Lindsey Buckingham are also monetizing their catalog.

Canadian singer-songwriter Neil Young, in the amount of $150 million, the company acquires 50 percent of the rights to Young's catalog, which currently includes a total of 1,180 compositions. Last summer, Hipgnosis had also taken over the portfolio of American punk pop group Blondie. The company also has the rights to work of a range of other musicians.
