Beware of home sitting pounds... how I approach it...
When I work in the catering kitchen under normal conditions, a lot of food goes through my hands. Food, on the other hand, you almost do not. Sometimes you just don't have time for that, especially at busy times a meal sometimes comes in.
On a regular working day I eat breakfast in the morning, I walk to the restaurant, I work there all day in the kitchen, in the afternoon there is no food because then my colleagues and I are too busy, around 16:30 the entire kitchen team eats a hot meal and then we turn on the battle. After the evening service and cleaning up the kitchen I usually walk home between 23:00 and 23:30.
Now with the catering lockdown I'm sitting at home, so I move much less and food is lurking out of boredom... the fridge, the biscuit cupboard and the nibbles in between are a real danger. Time to go up against that... No, not really a diet, but pay attention to it because during the previous lockdown the kilos flew like that.
Healthy messages...
If I don't have it in the closet, I won't eat it either... With a tight plan and a clear list, I step into the supermarket... vegetables, fruits, nuts, cereals,... here I have to be. The dairy department is easy, with lactose intolerance you are dependent on vegetable, which saves considerably in choice of desserts, yoghurts and milk products. With the cookies and chips department still dodging... Soda, too, I know how to expertly bypass that department. Still a bit proud of myself I put the many fruits and vegetables on the band. I think that's gonna be a healthy week to myself.
