Corfu: Canal d'amour, Apotripiti beach and Agios Stefanos beach.
It's early in the morning when we walk to the fishing port at the end of the street. We'd love to see the fishing boats coming. After a few minutes we hear the tufting of a motor and indeed a boat appears from behind the breakwater, which sails into the harbor.
The nets are empty. The deck is being cleaned, but we don't see fish.
We drive our rental car to Sidaria, where Canal d'amour seems to be a very nice spot. That's it too. But just as with so many beautiful spots, it's also crowded.
The natural channel gets its name from the myth that when you swim through the channel as a couple, you will soon get married and be happy together forever. How romantic do you want it? ?
The beautiful rock formations attract a lot of young people to jump from the height into the water. If they can swim back with a girl through the channel, the loot is in. ! We witness the daredevilness, although it takes a long time for them to jump. They have to gather a lot of courage, apparently.
