Our information board now shows a source of love ♥

Wonderful...

My eye is on our information board, it is very prominent in the middle of the entrance in front of the hall.
Normally, she's not so dominating in the way, no... this is not really normal,
but still she shows and that is just as usual, a cosy welcome.

I see all drawings from a distance, I see beautiful cheerful colors.
Oh wait, we probably got it to cheer up our residents.

I can't control my curiosity and slowly step closer.
I see all these hearts and lots of sweet words, you know... they even make me happy.

I read words like; love and strength, I read sentences about this difficult time.
It touched me more than I want to admit, Corona brings us all untold battle.

I try to swallow my own feelings, I stand in the workplace and yes, on the floor... I prefer to always show 'strong'.
We're there for the residents, that's our job.

Personal emotions are actually behind your own door, at least... this is what I often wish for.
But you know, that can't be done at all, I too am 'but' a human being.

Sisters also have emotions and being strong is sometimes difficult.
My emotions, at the sight of these beautiful drawings are not strange at all.

Gosh, beautiful...

I stay, purely for myself, a little longer.
I look at the love written and drawn with very young hands and feel a tear.

One, yes “just “one because it touches me.
And I want to say to all those dear children:
“THANKS, you have not only made our residents, but also me a little happier.”

Dear readers,
I participate in the #YoorsCoronaPositiveChallenge on this writers' forum Yoors and share some poems about my experiences with Corona in healthcare.

If you wish to support me... give a heart (or even more than one ☺) to the poem you think is worth it.

I can win €101, - euro and if I succeed, I will definitely spend them on the elderly.

Today poem number 2: A SOURCE OF LOVE ♥
A poem... following the message: “Children draw for the elderly”

Ps: Do you have a POSITIVE story for me regarding the care of the elderly and Corona, or do you have ideas... then I would love to hear these.
