Anja V D Field shared a fun idea she prepared for a craft afternoon with her grandchildren. She made cozy papers #cottages where you can “burn” a fake waxine light. Very cozy during the dark days. They are fun for Saint Nicholas as well as Christmas. You then add some extra items to it, and use e.g. fake snow or glitter to decorate the cottage.

Anja has worked with paper check. The great thing is that it works really well. Children can count the cubicles themselves and then take over the amount of cm on cardboard. The cottages are thus elaborated as molds on paper checks. They are 4 sides that form 1 light together. To connect the 4 sides, draw an extra 1 cm on each side . The bottom is 10 by 10 cm. Anja has made an extra edge for this too. So 11 by 11. For example, the 1 cm also serves as a bottom reinforcement at the cottage. Each cottage is 15 cm high. The rooftops are not included. By looking at the examples below, you can see how this cottage can fake.

Here are the 4 types of cottages. If you find it easier, you can also save it and print it out. You can create a completely different house through different windows, doors and roofs. If you want to use the mold more often, stick it on a piece of cardboard. That's how you enjoy it every year.
