Desimi Beach (Lefkada, Greece)
This is Desimi beach, 20 km away from the center of Lefkas. The beach is located at the beginning of the peninsula near Nidri. The beach is easily accessible and it’s very convenient for the days when you don’t feel like driving to those beaches on the west of the island that are a bit more difficult to approach (like Porto Katsiki). It has two camps (Desimi and Santa Mavra), two taverns, one of which is within a hotel and a canteen. You can rent boats, pedal boats or kayaks at Desimi, and you can explore its surroundings which are full of wild bays and caves.The depth of the sea is gradual, so the beach is suitable for children if they’re not bothered by pebbles.
