As Groningen, especially there, is also called.

A beautiful city, which I haven't explored far too little. The train station, there I spent many hours waiting earlier. The “Peerd of Uncle Loeks” I knew in detail. Later, when I had my license, I had to pick someone up from the station.. Now I'm still not very experienced driving in a busy city. And then you just have to have Groningen, especially if you're not familiar. You're short of eyes.

Now there's a specialist I had to go to until last year. First you go from the highway where you can get a hundred more, off the exit. There it is 50, the road runs down and there are several speed cameras. So that's really paying attention. Then in 'City', there's a lot of one-way traffic, narrow streets, crowds and lots of students on bicycles passing parked cars, to meet you. There is sometimes very little space left. Missing a turn seems unforgivable. Then at destination, find a parking space. Where I have to be is still to do that but there are also regular containers on the road so I probably won't have to stand for that. Not even for a driveway. And don't forget to pay the parking meter.

You can also go by city bus. That saves a lot of effort, but I'm not allowed to do that. Then I speak to myself strictly; “You're not a pussy?!” So soon I can go back there. Exciting but I still think it's a beautiful city!

Next time: A few nice anecdotes about my experiences in City!
