Dropping crocheted soft toys
About ten years ago, when crochet just started to become popular again in the Netherlands, I was an enthusiastic crocheting and searcher of fun online patterns. At that time I hooked a lot of hugs and participated in various toy drops. The idea was that you left a homemade hug somewhere and put a card, which showed that the honest finder could keep the hug, but that it would be nice if they let them know when the hug had gotten a safe home. All this was done through the global The Secret Toy Society. Unfortunately, I just saw that there seems to be no more βlifeβ in the project. New similar projects may have been launched in the meantime.
Every drop was a party again, making the hug, looking for a nice drop place and then of course waiting to see if you got a message back.
My first licorice
The first time I dropped, I dropped multiple hugs immediately. The joy was great when I heard that my crocheted pony, eleven-year-old Eline, had become the owner.
