What were in those pills?
My mother in law is a source of constant laughter at family gatherings, you see she really does have the best embarrassing moments stories to share, and she is not afraid of laughing at herself. Through the years she has had some rather hysterical moments, so much so that even though we know the stories so well, we still laugh until the tears run down our faces.
So today, seeing as Christmas and New Years is around the corner, I want to share her embarrassing New Years Eve story.
New Years still equals fireworks even though they are only suppose to be done in designated areas here. We knew people in the neighbourhood that would still go ahead and shoot them at home. So we got pills for all the dogs to relax them so that it would be less scary for them and a few extra in case it wore off before the fireworks were officially over.

My mom in law struggles with allergies and as the party was about to start she decided to quickly go home and take her allergy medicine.
About an hour later she was acting very strange at the party. She was walking around taking huge steps as if she was climbing a staircase, with really large steps. She "walked" around my parents house slurring her words making no sense at all. Standing staring at people as if nobody was standing there in front of her.
Everything about her behaviour was off character. She doesn't touch alchohol so we knew she wasn't drunk. We tried to get her to lay down and get some rest, but she dropped on that bed in such an acrobatic manner, that we started questioning what pills she took.
Her daughter and I decided to take her to her house so that we could check what medicine it was and to check the side effects.
When we got to her kitchen her daughter asked her to show her what she had taken. She pointed to the dogs pills.
We looked at it each other in shock and immediately phoned a doctor.
The doctor couldn't contain her laughter on the phone and said that unless she starts barking we have nothing to be concerned with and should just let it sleep it off, she was just on a bit of a trip, but it would wear off.

You tell it in very funny way )))) But on other side it is really concerning that "relax" pills for dogs have a such huge psychodelic effect. It doesn't look that your mother in law was relaxed after taking it ... I am wondering if she could remember anything about what happened.
