You have these days, then it collapses. Even compression stockings do not offer solace, so I can, to spare my legs, just stay in bed. Pretty annoying, I can tell you that. Also for a bookworm like myself, such a forced stillness and being able to do nothing but read at some point is no longer fun anymore. An attempt on my patience and my good mood.

I have a solution: I use my drone to watch the world live from my bed.

Fortunately, today is not such a branch weather as the last few days, there are no rain showers, the sun shines cheerfully in a clear blue sky. Because I sleep in the attic I can see it through my folding window, autumn has put an end to the foliage of the oak in our garden.

With a long stick, I push open the window and then I start the drone. A bit exciting is to let that thing take off right through the attic window, a little too much to the left or right and it goes wrong. But, talent as I am, I know how to get my drone into the air perfectly and undamaged. Hopefully the way back will succeed as well. On the remote control display I see exactly where I fly. If you go too fast, the world seems like a stew, but with the right reduction in speed, the world looks a lot more appetizing. It also requires the necessary handmanship to avoid the branches of the trees in my garden (and those of the neighbours and the municipality), but of course that is not a problem.

To prevent me from letting the drone fly too far away for the endurance of the batteries, I set up a kind of time clock. In five minutes, my drone will automatically return home safely. A ten-minute flight should not be a problem. Along the way, I also turn on the video camera, so I can see what sights I have let my drone fly later. Too bad it's not hot enough for sunbathing neighbors, but you can't have everything.
