How beautiful, that such a hiking trail runs through that. I saw several volcanoes, some of them also craters. It remains fascinating, even though there is always a danger. When I see what's still going on on La Palma. Yesterday they had 60 (!) earthquakes.

@enigma Yes, volcanoes are beautiful but also dangerous. In Iceland, they sometimes have hundreds of earthquakes in a row. As Unnur said, we're not afraid of it, but it gets a bit annoying when you keep getting pulled out of sleep. great advantage is that there was the youngest volcano in an area where it couldn't hurt (unlike La Palma).!

Another nice one for Iceland tips! That lava yields fertile soil, I knew. Fear that there are people who can't resist walking next to the trail (and thus on the moss).
