Beukelaar's gnome got up early in the morning. He likes that. At this time everything is so quiet, there is no crowded traffic from other gnomes or animals on the forest path. An early fly buzzing along its ears and a single beetle passes slowly. Gnome Beukelaar kindly nods them, and most beetles kindly nod back. They don't talk much, those beetles.

Beukelaar is on its way to the public shower on the large meadow. I'm sure there's no one that early.

In the morning the dewdrops hang like small glowing balls on the blades of grass. Gnome Beukelaar likes it a beautiful face every time. Due to the heat of the sun, the water droplets evaporate, making them smaller and smaller. He needs to be fast. Then he puts his clothes aside and gently steps between the blades of grass. A firm kick against the stems and water falls well over him.
