Gamma-owl in the bedroom
Early in the morning I meet a gamma-owl in my bedroom.
The gamma owl is a small brown owl butterfly.
The butterfly is easily recognizable because it shows a clear yellow-white gamma markings in the middle of the front wing.
The opening of the sign is important: at the gamma owl it is wide and funnel-shaped. This distinguishes with strong looking, but slightly more colorful dark jota owl, which has a narrow V-shaped drawing. The gamma owl also has the nickname pistol, because the gamma-shaped drawing also resembles a gun.
The gamma owl is a very common migratory butterfly from the Mediterranean, which flies both during the day and at night.
