Nooit een kaartje gehad, nooit een persoonlijke brief
Maar altijd hield hij hoop en zodra hij de postbode zag

I particularly like the end of your poem, with a suggestion of meaning for love as a powerful feeling made of little bits of unexpectedness, promise, expectations, discovery...I could go on but I don't think I could fully seize the reality of love 😉
