Hand of Fatima, work of the day 10-3-2020
The hand of Fatima is a well-known symbol.
Often it is seen as a protective amulet (I have been told to stop evil), and it originates in Islam.
In this hand of Fatima I have incorporated a flower of blue innocence in the encaustic background, which I found symbolically beautiful.
The entire hand is 4.5 by 3.8 centimeters, the cabochon with the flower is 14mm in diameter.
