#Leonie is a woman in her 40s, she could be your neighbor. After her divorce, she builds her new life. With neighbor Mandy she has dinner appointments of the good kind: Mandy cooks! Love also comes around the corner, with all the consequences that entails.

“You did behave, I hope?” Leonie said as harshly as she could. Ilse smiled and drew a halo over her own head. “Fire loose,” said Leonie. “I happened to be in the circuit shop this morning,” she said, looking at Leonie very significant. “And I just had a chat with that piece of yours.” Leonie laughed. “Piece? I never said that, I said he was a nice man.” “Whatever. Anyway, with a lot of effort I got the conversation in the desired direction, but he didn't bite”, Ilse said trying to look at it as sip as possible. “What did you say? Nothing about me, I hope?” asked Leonie. “Well, I said you sent me to ask if he wanted to go out with you. No, of course not! I just picked up some kitschy trash and asked his advice if it was fun as a gift. Whether his wife or girlfriend would like that, for example, but he talked about it, so unfortunately, I don't know anything yet! And I didn't want to wait until closing time and chase him.”

“I am not grieving about that,” said Leonie. “Coffee?” Ilse nodded. “But I can always go back at the end of the afternoon and chase him after all,” said Ilse conspiracy. “No thanks, I pass”, said Leonie and she walked to the kitchen to get coffee.

“How is your sister anyway?” Ilse asked. Leonie told Ilse about the house that had been bought, but had to wait for a while. That things went well with the pregnancy and about Leonie's mother and her attitude towards Demi. “Yes, I get that,” said Ilse. “It's not the ideal situation, of course, but it's also impossible to make of it. It will probably end up on its feet, soon everyone will wonder why the work has been done so hard.” “Maybe you're right, but that's always afterwards, isn't it?” “Well, afterwards you look a cow in the butt,” Ilse concluded. She grinned at Leonie.

“Too bad you won't come tomorrow,” Leonie said when Ilse went home again. She had invited Ilse to come on her birthday, but Ilse had other obligations that she couldn't escape. “Yes, sorry. But soon I'll take you with me, then we'll have lunch together or something.” Leonie nodded. “I like that idea!”
