Kimmie and Ko and the Witch Circle (5)
'Then can't I travel after Ko through the same gate?' asks Kimmie.
'No, unfortunately. It's a one-way street,' says the gnome.
'But how am I supposed to find Ko?'
'You can't. He must find his own way back...'
Kimmie drops down defeated and spreads her wings in front of her face. She lets her tears run freely.
'Maybe it's all not so bad,' comforts the gnome. 'There are bad witches but there are good witches, too.'
Kimmie looks up hopefully. 'How do I know if Ko is with a good or bad witch?'
'You could tell by the leaves that are in the witch's circle,' says the gnome.
Kimmie flies right over to them.
'Are the leaves dark or light?' asks the gnome.
'They are pitch black,' calls Kimmie back.
The gnome shakes his head. 'I'm afraid he's with a wicked witch.'
