Kimmie en Ko in Portugal
'Look, Kimmie, there are two women on a rooftop waving at us.'
'What friendly people here in Portugal.'
The two canaries wave back and fly along. They are very curious to see who or what else they are going to encounter.
After a while Ko says: 'Hey Kimmie, shall we stop for a minute?'
'Are you tired?'
'Yes, and I'm also a little hungry.'
'Again?'
'No, still. Look, down there, see that tangerine tree?'
'The one with the pile of tangerines at the base of the tree?'
'That's the one I mean yes.'
'Off you go then.'
Kimmie and Ko land right next to the tree.
'Nice bit of land here,' says Ko looking around. He leans forward and takes a big bite out of a tangerine.
Kimmie remains looking around in the meantime. On the way over she had seen a couple of cats roaming around. She doesn't want to run into them up close.
Ko, meanwhile, continues to stuff himself.
'Are you done yet Ko?' asks Kimmie.
'One more,' replies Ko.
After a few minutes. 'Is it my turn already?' asks Kimmie.
'One more,' Ko replies smacking.
'You just said that already. Come on, it's your turn to stand guard.'
Sighing, Ko complies with the order while Kimmie goes off to fill her tummy with the delicious tangerines.
Ko sits down in the top of the tangerine tree and looks around. Immediately something special catches his eye: he sees an old lady climbing over a piece of wire. It looks rather sneaky.
'Look, Kimmie, a burglar!' Ko shouts out.
'Will you handle that?' says Kimmie.
'No problem.' Ko goes up in the air and then flies low over the lady who looks up, startled.
Ko makes a turn in the air and flies over again, but this time he drops a little gift. The present falls on top of the old lady's head and she yells fiercely. She immediately turns around and runs off.
There, that's solved too,' says Ko contentedly. He joins Kimmie and together they take a nap in the tree. There they dream of new adventures.
