'Lesson's learned' (In proverbs)
Many life lessons are caught in proverbs
But are they always true? While I wanted to write a long story about life lessons, a proverb popped up in me every time. There are not for nothing so. Yet I only tested ten of them against my own reality.. I have shown this in parentheses:
- A fox may lose its hair, but not its pranks. (no word to add)
- As the man is, he trusts his guests (experienced enough)
- Who does good, meets well. (Partly true)
- Neighbor's crazy is all too good. (Totally agree)
- Whose bread one eats, whose word one speaks (usually)
- As the clock ticks at home, it doesn't ticks anywhere (totally agree)
- Morning standing, has gold in the mouth (quite agree)
- Many hands make light work. (usually they do but sometimes they get in the way)
- Don't go over one night of ice. (Usually it is true)
- Cheap is endurkoop (do not necessarily)
