Dear all! Today is March 15, 2020 and that means Yoorsdag! The last two editions we have celebrated exuberantly and this year we have @ElisabethsKitchen and I decided not to celebrate big. There are a few reasons for this. First of all, Yoors is busy with changes and we think that attention should now be paid to that. The team is very busy preparing for that and we did not want to launch at the same time. The second reason is, and that is something that we consider even more important and that has been holding our news in recent weeks is the Corona virus. It may seem quite harmless at first, but we see in the world that more and more countries are spreading the virus and in our country too a lot has happened last week.

I looked again at the last edition of Yoorsdag 2019, when I was about to open the Online Yoors Café that morning when the terrible news came in about the attack in New Zealand. How do you start such a holiday? I did that with a song by Ludwig van Beethoven - A melody of tears. Looking at this year, I got the feeling again... how do you start such a holiday?

Today I will start again with this number, given the virus that has already cost many victims. Sometimes only in the place is necessary and therefore today it is not about celebrations, but about connecting. Connecting music and people together. We have seen this last week because of the many videos that appeared by singing and playing Italians who support each other in these difficult times. The post of @Je know... Karin! Togetherness appealed to me last night to put it in the mark today. Let us take this as an example to dwell today on fellow human beings, but also as Yoorsers among themselves. Help each other and connect!

I give you the space to place something under this post today as a token of connection to each other and to the people around us. That can be anything. Photo, poem, story, song. Feel free to place. That we as Yoorsers can spread a piece of love to the world and to each other today! We already did this in 2018 with our beautiful Christmas groceries. So no party today, but let's once again be a light to the people around us in the Netherlands and far beyond!
