The suffering that is called compression stockings

It's warm sticky weather and as if that's not hot and sticky enough, I really have to wear my compression stockings, but what a disaster. Because of the sticky weather and the edema in my hands, I don't get the gloves on properly. The compression stockings are now at the end of their Latin after almost a year. They give less compression and are stretched a couple of centimeters. They kneel on top of my feet and in my popliteal fossa and I really hate it. So sometimes I can't escape to grumble.

Meanwhile they are quite reasonable and the air is cleared. For today, at least. A few more weeks and then I can have new ones on and now I would like to take a shower, because I sweat on all sides.

I have compression stockings for more than 8 years, because there was lymphatic edema on my right leg. Lymphatic vessels are still working at 11% on the right, left 83%. At least that was eight years ago. In addition to the compression stockings I currently have about 1x every 6 weeks of lymphatic drainage therapy, so that's pretty much profit over 3x a week 8 years ago.
