Nice initiative in this terrible Coronatijd. Anyone can join!
We are going on bear hunt!
This morning I saw a message coming by on Facebook in which someone from my Facebook friends said that the bears are standing outside the window with her and her mother to be discovered. “Huh”, I thought and went to find out what this was about and I discovered a very nice idea. Now my children are from the age they probably want to do this but for all the smaller kids and moms & dads who have to come up with something in this weird Coronatijd I think it's a superiidea and everyone can join. So there is now a bear in my window!
What am I talking about?
Well, let me explain that: The idea has spread over from Australia, the United Kingdom and Belgium and is now also in the Netherlands. The inspiration for this idea is the popular picture book “We go on bear hunt”, written in 1995 by Michael Rosen and Helen Oxenbury. It is planned that “everyone” puts a bear (little) in front of the window. The coronavirus limits many activities, but hiking with the family is allowed. To make walking more fun for parents with children, some extra creativity is needed. So on bear hunting! The rules of bear hunting are simple: place a bear (or other hug) by your own window, and then the parents can search for bears during a walk near you. For example, you can make it known on Facebook that there is a bear in front of your window by #wijgaanopberenjacht to your message.
This is a great idea!
Corona for kids : ga eens op berenjacht !
