The Color Piet of Sinterklaas arrives in our country
It's (almost) in the newspaper!
With stapler, newspaper and Aquatint,
make you quick a newspaper or Saint
Nice to make for every child,
that crafting finds cozy
Cut a pee out of the paper,
and not the staples on the edge
Then fill piet with pieces of paper,
some craps and newspaper strings
Then there will be more fun,
with watercolor in a pipette
Drip here and drip there,
all colors mixed up
Immediately cut a second piet,
because it's not that hard.
Are you good at going on,
then the wait will take sooo long!
Leave to dry for a whole night,
only then you paste the eyes
With marker you draw his mouth and hair,
and then color pietje is ready!

Supplies: Newspaper (with lots of text, as few pictures as possible), stapler, scissors and watercolour, eg the concentrated Collall Aquatint.

Place the pattern on 4 layers of newsprint and cut out the A4 with the 4 layers of newspaper in 1x.

Do not staples in the edge but leave a gap of 4 to 5 cm open.

Fill the piet with wraps of newsprint and not close it.

Cut a spring of 4 ply newsprint, and not on the middle seam.

With a pipette you can drip the AquaTint onto the newspaper figure without tampering.

It gets really wet, so put a newspaper under it in case the paint runs off.

Let the wet newspaper figures dry overnight!

Using a permanent marker (e.g. Collall Krimpie marker), draw the stripes on the spring and cut the spring obliquely as shown in the example. Frommel the what, for the spring effect!

Draw with marker the edge of the hat, ears, nose and mouth and decorate its collar with dots, circles, asterisks or hearts. Not the feather on the hat.

Finally, glue the eyelets and let the glue dry for a while.

We wish you a cozy Sinterklaas craft period!
