The last leaves
Autumn colours
Every year, at the end of summer, the marvellous discolouration of the leaves.
In particular, the Japanese Acer palmatum shows a spectacular transformation from deep summers, green to bright orange and red tones during this period.
Ginko biloba
The Chinese Ginko is the oldest deciduous deciduous on Earth. This living fossil is the evolutionary transition from conifer to deciduous plants. It is actually a coniferous tree whose needles are glued to a leaf and that is still visible in the fine stripes from the petiole to the leaf end.
Here we see the delicate discolouration from light green to the later deep yellow just before the tree releases it.

Beautiful photographs in the orange tones thanks for all that information

What beautiful pictures, Rudy. Nature treats us to wonderfully beautiful scenes at any time of the year.

very good information about these trees, I love the photographs and the color, thank you

You have been able to take great pictures of them because before we know it, everything will be bare again, but then you can still take great pictures.

It's a great setting that nature gives us. Excellent pictures

It's a nice time of year, I think it's the best as a change begins, spectacular photographs

What a beautiful photos and that color of the Acer 😍😍😍. And cool, that mammoth tree!

Beautiful and informative log with an amazing collection of photos. If everything is right, we will come to the arboretum on Thursday to get a glimpse of all the beauty in change.

Beautiful colours. It is undoubtedly enjoying the Arboretum in the fall.

Fun blog. Too bad the pictures stick some. Incidentally, we have two sequoia trees in France at the entrance to our domain. They are now more than two hundred years old, we have been told.

Interessant en heel mooi blog!
