From various tubes Uncle Frits squeezes a small paint sausage on his palette. He proudly looks at this young, multicolored starting point. Although the paint is only on the palette and not yet on the canvas, he still feels the artist in him awakening further.

Carefully he dipped a not too thin brush into the black paint. Very slowly and concentrated, he paints a black stripe on the white canvas. Then another one. Warep, the paint stays in place. Strengthened by this extraordinary result, he still draws a few lines. The basic form is clearly recognizable: a house. A rather primitive house, though, but the beginning is there. White houses with a black frame are more common on the canvas or in drawings, but in reality a little less. In addition, there are often windows and doors in it. On to the next stage.
