All Clara (Mackenzie Foy) wants is a unique key that opens a box containing a priceless gift that belonged to her late mother. A golden thread, offered at the annual party of the godfather Drosselmeyer (Morgan Freeman), leads him to the coveted key and soon disappears into a strange and mysterious parallel world. This is where Clara meets a soldier named Phillip (Jayden Fowora-Knight), a gang of mice and the rulers who preside over three Kingdoms: the Land of Snowflakes, the Land of Flowers and the Land of Sweets. Clara and Phillip must challenge the terrible Fourth Kingdom where tyrant Mother Ginger (Helen Mirren) lives, to regain the key and hopefully restore harmony in an unstable world. The new Disney movie “The Nutcracker and the Four Kingdoms” stars Keira Knightley in the role of Fairy Sugar Plum, and features a guest appearance by Misty Copeland. The film is directed by Lasse Hallström and inspired by the classic story by E.T.A. Hoffmann.
