It took me a lot of time and energy, but most of the cleanup job is done. All sorts of junk have made its way to a new location in one closet or another, the thrift store or, you can, the grey dumpster.
The large table, with the hopeful dimensions of 2 by 1 m, is in place. My next job is applying a top coat to protect the table itself from drilling, carpentry and paint activities. I choose a double layer so I have room to work away any power wires from lighting and as appropriate. For a moment I doubted if I should make a latch on the side. Not as fencing, but to prevent iniquities from getting on the ground. For the time being, but not. A little paint on it, and then time for action!
