The footage is spectacular, but of course it is a disaster for the people there.
@Hans van Gemert That's for sure ! We are not up to natural violence at all.
Although I love volcanoes, this is of course a disaster and a drama for many! I'm going to share your blog! A lot of strength for the people you know who are in this condition!
@Encaustichris Sweet you want to share ! I hope the support actions put them back on track.
Very fierce when you're in the middle of that! Great that you contacted these people. Very special written.
Special photos but a fierce story and drama for the people close to them. Shared the post on my FB.
@Rudi Thankyou. It's nice that you shared the blog !
Disastrous states from now on watching the many videos on YouTube, it is no fun for the residents, but nature has its own laws. On the other hand, there are photographers who benefit from making beautiful videos. https://youtu.be/BYczhgdSdUk
@Marc De Bisschop Of course, it's a whole spectacle. People are not even allowed to look at a distance there, but tourists or press, with boats, all of them will get to their boot.

The volcano that is now erupted is a so-called shield volcano. These types of volcanoes have no volcanic cone and are typically connected to a deep - on the earth's mantle - hotspot. (so-called HP volcanism) Hotspots just form somewhere on the earth's mantle... Show more
@Leo 1 True !
I just got more info from my contacts on La Palma. The volcano didn't have a name yet, it's a new. That one just got his name.
What an impressive photo, I saw some related news, I hope the inhabitants were evacuated promptly.
@Haydarmohamad Most of them were evacuated immediately, some of them could stay a bit longer. It's still erupting.
