Making autumn piece of clay with children
We have already seen how to turn a large autumn leaf into a beautiful bowl withself-hardening clay. The soft white,air-drying, modeling clay from Creall is well suited for this. The grain of the leaf creates a nice effect. Also with children you can make these nice prints easy. Especially nice when it rains outside and the wind blows hard! With a clay roller or a rolling pin, evenly flatten the clayPut the sheet on it and cut out the shape with a molding spatulaCarefully remove the leaf and place the clay leaf on a balloon to dry.Use a cocktail stick to write the name of the maker on the sheet (=bottom). After drying, you can paint the clay molds with acrylic paints. Metallic colors are totally super! Or use sweet unicorn colors or bright cheerful colors. Of course, it does not have to be just brown:)Paint some acorns and caps and possibly make some rose from leaves. Collapse and fold leaves together with a little dexterity and wrap them with flower-binding thread. For children this is too difficult! But without a folded rose, the dish is also nice!Decorate the bowl nicely with atealight and ready is yourhomemade autumn decoration! The clear step-by-step photos have been submitted by Dear Joos . She has been a welcome parent (guest parent) for almost 20 years and is often creative with her babysitting children. She regularly has inspiring ideas that she would like to share with us.Liesbet from Creatief met Toddlers also made beautiful clay beads, together with the children.
