I've been sharing some posts about some autoimmune diseases.

but what is actually a autoimmune disease? What is its cause?

What is really common is that the immune system protect you from diseases and infections that we may have for different reasons. But in the case of those who suffer from an autoimmune disease, it is because their immune system attacks healthy cells in their body by mistake, and unfortunately this can affect many parts of the body bringing serious consequences depending on the type of immune disease.

The inexplicable thing is that the causes of why immune system mistakenly attacks the healthy tissues of the body.  Some of these diseases are often inherited. However, some people are more likely to develop an autoimmune disease than others.

There are currently more than 80 types of e autoimmune diseases and some have very similar symptoms. This is difficult to diagnose any of these diseases because it is important for your doctor to know if you really have one of these disorders and, if you have one, which one is. In many cases, the main symptoms are fatigue, muscle aches and fever. Although the quintessential symptom of an autoimmune disease is the fact that there is inflammation, it can cause redness and pain.

Illnesses can also become more acute, there are times when they get worse but there can also be improvement which is when symptoms improve or disappear. Treatment depends on the disease, as some people suffer more than others. Although the important thing is to reduce inflammation. Sometimes, the doctor may prescribe steroids or another type of medicine that reduces the response of your immune system.

So remember that if you suffer from some similar symptoms, it is best to go to a doctor to rule out any disease. it is also important to have a check-up sporadically.

Take care of your health!
