Tics are sudden movements or things you say that you keep repeating without noticing. Whenever you notice them, it's either too late or you try and stop it forcefully while looking around to see if anyone saw you do it! Most tics disappear when we're kids, but some people unfortunately can't get rid of them. Tics are also not always linked to a disorder and can sometimes be treated.
With me I have two very annoying tics that get very hard to explain.
1. I stroke the back of my ear when I'm feeling comfortable. This makes me feel safe and secure. Apparently according to my mom I used to do this since I was a baby alongside sucking my thumb. I managed to get rid of sucking my thumb, but I guess I'll never get rid of the ear stroking...
2. I bite my pinky when I am fully focussed to the point it starts hurting. I think this is what my body does now instead since the moment I stopped sucking my thumb. When I notice it, it's too late because it already created a small wound.
I am working hard on getting rid of both as they produce a lot of awkward situations! 😂

Once learned from older sister study, unfortunately I still have stumps as proof of it.
I also scraps on paper at courses or longer calls
To postpone if I don't know how to handle something. Then I want to think about it. Often when I wait then e suddenly the next day very simply the solution of my approach. A 50% thinker and a 50% doer, doesn't always make it easy.
I try to finish it, but I often don't notice it myself.... 😛

Los tics nerviosos: qué son y por qué aparecen
It is a neurological disorder that manifests itself first in childhood or adolescence, before the age of 18. Tourette syndrome is characterized by many motor and phonic tics that last for more than a year. Usually, the first symptoms are involuntary movements (tics) of the face, arms, limbs, or trunk. These tics are frequent, repetitive and fast. The first most common symptom is a facial tic (blinking, contraction of the nose, grimacing). It may be replaced or added by other tics of the neck, trunk and limb.
