The number of followers, the number of sharers, etc. This is how media works, that's how politics works and that's even how a large part of our education works.

Distorting facts, framing people/sources. These are all techniques that are used to ensure that there are mainly a lot of page views. (advertisers want lots of views). We want to be lied (to)
People seem to want to be lied to and get ruined because we are basically lazy when it comes to forming our own perception. We do want to have an opinion, but we base it much more than we know, on what the “rest” thinks. So when you control the media, you can make large groups of people believe what you want them to believe. And if you are critical or you tend to think for yourself, the peer pressure will mean that you have to be very strong or stubborn to keep it up. When you reach the critical mass, that determines the “opinion” of almost all people. This is because the group of people who think “differently” will then be smaller instead of. taller.
The Corona propaganda does exactly what is described in this blog. Each time, the goal is to maintain “fear” so that people remain docile and obedient. That is why people are still convinced that punishment works better than rewards. After all, we react more strongly to something unpleasant than to something positive. We are fully programmed and focused on preventing suffering instead of. creating good and nice things. We receive fines for traffic offences instead of. a reward for safe and good behavior in traffic. The number of inadequacies determines our educational advancements instead of. the satisfactions. At least the emphasis is very often on limiting inadequacies instead of. achieving satisfactions.
