It is also called thunder leaf or thunder beard.
Sempervivum exists in many shapes and sizes.
In the pictures big house look, and the spider.
Spider is called so because this plant makes very fine hairs between the leaves: as if a spider had been busy.
Home look is planted a lot on roofs, because it always remains green, and it would protect against lightning strikes, hence the name thunder.
I took this picture at my parents', there's the house look on a roof tile, but in the driveway, so we can admire it well.
