Today I would like to take you to Thailand in this parade.
It was during one of our holidays that I saw a tree near a temple with very special flowers.
I forgot the name of the tree, but I remembered that it was special in Thailand.
Or that was because the tree stood near a temple I don't know, maybe it was one of the first specimens in Thailand.

With help from Google and Wikipedia, I now know that it's the flower of a cannonball tree.
A tree originally from America, but also introduced in Thailand.
The tree can grow very large (35m), and besides these beautiful flowers produce fruits that are very large and hard, the cannonballs.
The flowers do not contain nectar, but are loved by bees, and especially bats, who pollinate the flowers.

When you go to Thailand: make sure you see the tree, it blooms almost all year round!
